Wish me luck…

Tomorrow I start teaching a unit on Civil Rights. In it I am including a section on the LGBT movement for equal rights. I hope that I might be able to show students that who someone loves should not be a basis for discrimination and hate, that the things they say to others can cause irreparable damage, and that all people are entitled to equal rights. Did I mention I am teaching this lesson in the middle of the Bible Belt? Wish me luck.

Things I can look forward to after finals:

reading for leisure

making Netflix my bitch

internet. all the time.

seeing my puppies

staring blankly at a wall while I try to figure out what I want to do with all of this seemingly unlimited time. 

not accomplishing any of my goals I set to accomplish over the break.
